About me
My love affair with food began in my grandmother’s kitchen, where I spent hours observing and playing with food-witnessing the magical transformations of simple ingredients into delicious provisions. My creative and food identity is a rich blessing of being an immigrant, a daughter and a granddaughter of immigrants from different cultures. I’m a citizen of the world with many homes.
In my adult years, I learnt that unravelling stories behind food and culture gives me so much joy! It only took me a Food and Nutrition degree, a few years in many professional culinary kitchens, a job as a product developer in CPG and being around food constantly until I found my true joy in creative food photo/videography and recipe development as I make connections with people while crafting nostalgic and emotive captures through food.
My long list of experiences wearing a different hat in the food industry really fine-tuned me and made me a better visual storyteller, stylist, content creator and recipe developer. But I think it is the experience as a citizen of immigrant that expose me to a wide range of cultures, traditions, and people. This shapes me to be a thoughtful creative who adapts and reinvents as I go with the goal of making connections.
